Tripod footing with central tapered malachite column.
All gold top support and 5 lite branching arms.The intricate and high relief sculpted gilt bronze metal mounts have been recently been restored and individually cast and then assembled to form three scrolled foot base, intermediate sculpted tripod animal head risers, column base and upper tier S scrolled arms, 5 urn shaped taper sconces with bobeche under basins. The deep verdant marbled much prized malachite provides a strong, sharp visual contrast against the gleam of the gold metal. Construction method is different elements being manufactured, then created together to form the whole. These are reminiscent of the high artisan creations designed and executed for the Imperial Russian court and nobility.
