An exceptional Art Nouveau bronze table centerpiece or inkwell with central glass crystal receptable with a decorative finial modeled as a horse in a meadow. The four sections of the heavy bronze plate each feature a stylized and historic themed equine motif, including two Neoclassical charioteers racing, four jockeys and racing horses, armored knights mounted on horseback in combat, and a pastoral Jacobean tableau with a gentlemen on horseback and a lady. Art Nouveau motifs, including leaves and putti.
