Presented in an antique wooden and glass display case, with all original brass and metal components. Includes expositional essays concerning the work and correspondence of the inventor and engineer, Julien Pierre Friez (1852-1916), a Baltimore maker and supplier of meteorological instruments. Original brass plates incised JULIEN P. FRIEZ & SONS BELFORT OBSERVATORY.
