Modelled as a young girl crying on a floral base inscribed with a 17th century poem by Robert Herrick.
Designed by Laurence Perugini, grandson of Charles Dickens, it was modelled from plasters supplied by Perugini. The poem reads: "Upon her cheeks she wept. And from those showers Sprang up a sweet nativity of flowers" Herrick. Hand written and painted title, artist signed and Potted by Doulton to bottom base. Royal Doulton backstamp.
