Mid century statue sculpture of Art Deco era Newport race boat.
Produced with decorative glass sails and artistically styled metal rigging framing. Presented on a decorative wooden base, with nameplate HINDU. The schooner Hindu was built in 1925. In 1930, the boat participated in the Newport-to-Bermuda Race, sailing alongside notable schooners of the era including the Malabar X. Jib has lost a small corner of glass at the top.
