Rare photo of Eddie Rickenbacker, WWI American fighter pilot, standing in front of the 'Golden Falcon' DC-8 Jet.
In 1935, Eddie Rickenbacker became general manager of Eastern Air Lines, and bought aircrafts such as the Douglas DC-4. From there Rickenbacker collaborated new aviation designs with Donald W. Douglas. Douglas was the founder of Douglas Aircraft Company and builder of various DC, the DC-8 the first jet airliner being among his designs.
