Pair of still life watercolor paintings depicting a white flower stem in a vial with persimmon and a seashell with a fig. Each signed Block Lxx in pencil. Irving Block (American, 1910-1982) was an artist and educator in Los Angeles, California, and was involved with the important New Deal Federal Art Project in the 1930s. Block's work is collected within several public institutions including the Smithsonian Museum of American Art. Unframed. Mounted within canvas-lined illustration boards.
