Description
Large vessel with curved neck and banded center in deep brown with blue and orange fired in and then glazed.Artist initials RR to bottom base. Ron spent several high school years living and studying in Europe. Though nobody in the family can remember where he studied pottery his works are inspired by Jacques Pouchain (his mother was a rabid collector) and in the mid 1970s Ron opened a pottery studio in Brookline Massachusetts. He made his living selling his art and teaching lessons through 1980 when he was drawn away to work on a political campaign. The remainder of his life was spent in politics though a kick wheel and kiln remained in his basement when his first national political campaign landed him in Washington DC.
