Large original acrylic on canvas artwork by British painter Joyce Roybal of two jockeys riding horses at full gallop as they are reaching toward the finishing line. Roybal divided his composition in four equal parts that are painted with textured colors. The jockeys and their horses are delineated by raised contours that he filled with thick paint resulting in low reliefs made with pale blue, tan, brown, pink and dull yellow tones. Signature on lower left: J Roybal. Housed in a gold and copper color wooden frame with tan linen matting. Frame size: 29"L x 25"H x 2"W. Artwork dimensions: 23.25"L x 19.5"H.
