Description
Title: A Plan of the Entrance of Tampa Bay on the West Coast of Florida. A fascinating and historic map of early plans for Tampa Bay detailing soundings measured in fathoms and feet (water depths), key names, and bodies of water. Robert Sayer was a prolific provider of British charts and maps in the 18th century. Many of his maps were based on the plates of well-known geographer Thomas Jefferys; he obtained the plates after Jefferys went bankrupt in 1766. A great addition to any collector who enjoys Florida history!
