Description
Glazed Porcelain Decorated, hand created, hand painted by the Artist of the Boehm Studio in the USA. Hallmark: 201. RPC-305-03. Introduced in 1950, an early Limited Edition of 100 only, this Percheron Stallion, glazed, decorated Dapple Gray with pink and blue ribbon on mane and beribboned tail was created by Edward M. Boehm and his Artists. A sold out edition, early on after introduction. One of the Percheron Stallions was purchased by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY in January, 1951. Thus, it was one of the first pieces of Mr. Ed Boehm to receive official museum recognition. Very fine detail and coloration. Authentic Boehm Signature in Script on the underside. See photos for further reference. Very hard and difficult stallion model to obtain. Very Important Boehm Stallion, modelled after one of Mr. Boehm's Percheron Stallions. Truly Museum Quality Porcelain. Circa: 1950. Excellent condition. From the Archival Collection of Re Vann Galleries, G.Reasoner, Owner.
