An exquisite 15th-century English alabaster relief from the renowned English Nottingham School, mounted on a velvet-covered wooden box. The piece vividly portrays The Resurrection, with Jesus depicted as a commanding, majestic figure stepping over a Roman guard who sleeps by the tomb. The sculptor masterfully incorporated high relief techniques, creating a striking three-dimensional effect. Relief dimensions: 9.75" L x 12.50" H x 2" W. Velvet box dimensions: 11.50" L x 9" W x 13.75" H.
