Gorgeous antique Cuzco School style tryptic retablo made with original oil on hardened linen held by wooden planks in a gilded altarpiece frame. Golden rays emanate from The Virgin who is flanked by two protective Archangels, each holding a musket/arquebus. They are dressed in regal costumes inspired by the 17th century Criollo and Andean nobles and aristocrats. Each religious figure is placed in a lunette and the elaborate hand-carved altarpiece is heavily gilded resulting in a dazzling example of religious artwork. The Virgin painting dimensions: 4.50"L x 10"H. Each Archangel dimensions: 2"L x 5"H. Frame dimensions: 25"L x 17"H x 2.50"W.
