Description
This Boehm porcelain "Golden Throne Relief" plaque, number 36 from a limited issue, was produced in conjunction with the U.S. bicentennial exhibition "The Treasures of Tutankhamun" (19761979). Commissioned with the cooperation of The Egyptian Museum, Cairo, and six U.S. hosting museums, this piece depicts a vibrant and detailed relief inspired by the golden throne of Tutankhamun. The plaque features intricate hand-painted details with rich colors highlighting the figures and hieroglyphics, set against a gilded background. Framed in a silver-toned bamboo-style frame, the piece measures 12"L x 17.5"H. A remarkable collectible commemorating one of the most significant archaeological exhibitions of the 20th century.
