A unique collection of six handcrafted Kenyan shekere gourds, traditionally used as percussion instruments, paired with a finely woven basket. Each gourd contains beads or seeds, creating a rhythmic sound when shaken. The designs feature intricate carvings, painted motifs, and embellishments, showcasing a variety of cultural and artistic influences. The largest gourd displays tribal-inspired figures with natural fiber accents, while others feature geometric patterns, animal depictions, and celestial themes. One elongated gourd is housed within a woven basket, adding to the artisanal appeal. This diverse set highlights traditional African craftsmanship and makes a distinctive addition to any ethnographic or musical instrument collection. Gourds range in size from 3" to 10"L.
